Un denies alien ambassador plan to have talks between Trump and Putin

President Trump says he would not send American troops to Ukraine to fight rebels despite Russian intervention in the country, suggesting Moscow wouldn’t want to do it given Russia’s influence.

That is the suggestion offered by a former US ambassador to Ukraine, who made the claim on CNN’s State of the Union Monday night.jarvees.com

«I don’t believe that’s going to happen, and that’s been a top Russian priority,» State Dept. spokesperson Heather Nauert said, saying it was important for President Trump to respond to Russian aggression toward Ukraine, as he’s done repeatedly throughout the past few months.

«We need a strong, stable Ukraine. We need strong leaders here in Ukraine. We don’t need to go there to get our military. And it’s a pretty dangerous place to bjarvees.come. And we will have strong Rus바카라사이트sian leadership if we’re not going to stand up to Russia, because if you don’t stand up, they’re going to come after you if you have anything.»

Former US ambassador to Ukraine Michael McFaul agreed, adding, «There are many things that they, if they have the chance, they have a right to do,»

But the idea they wanted to send «a little group of troops» didn’t sit well with others on the Foreign Policy team, who wondered how the American public could be so blind to the fact Russia had annexed Ukraine’s Crimea territory.

«It would not be wise for the White House to do a press conference about this at this time that will not mention Russia directly, which we don’t know at this time, and probably haven’t known all along,» said National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan.

«But it would be wise for the White House to say clearly that it will consider the consequences of Russian aggression for the safety and security of all US citizens. That’s just not something the president will be ready to do at this time.»
